Ahmed Mohamed, the 14-year-old Muslim boy who was arrested for bringing a homemade clock to his school, is not returning to his school again.
The boy’s family is looking out for other schools, and is even considering schools outside the US. His father Mohamed Elhassan even said they might consider home-schooling him. Considering the extreme racism the young boy had to face, one can’t really blame them for opting out.

You’d recall how the innocent boy who had simply wanted to impress his teachers with a clock he made was subjected to psychological torture of the worst kind when his teachers decided to get him arrested. Ahmed studied in the ninth grade in MacArthur High in Texas.
The arrest of the Sudanese-American boy arrest had caused a furore across the world, and he garnered worldwide support, with president Barack Obama himself coming forward in his support. Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg too spoke up and invited Ahmed to the Facebook headquarters to showcase his clock.
Netizens even accused the school authorities of intentionally singling out the boy to display their anathema towards the Muslim race. A post that has been doing rounds on Facebook said how there was no real bomb scare and the school wasn’t even evacuated, which should have been the case had the authorities really believed that Ahmed was carrying a bomb.
