The Viceregal lodge or more commonly known as Indian Institute of Advanced Studies is the most well maintained and the most beautiful building in Shimla since the colonial period . The building has a lot of history attached with it and is now turned into a museum and is a must visit place its your first visit to Shimla.

Shimla is surrounded by a lot of beautiful temples like the Tara Devi Temple near Shoghi which is situated at hilltop with a beautiful view and other temples like Sankat Mochan and Jakhu Temple

are dedicated to lord Hanuman Ji and Jakhu Temple also features a 106ft. high statue of Lord Hanuman . There are many other beautiful temples that you can explore yourself.

Its one of the oldest world class theater of North India and features Papier Mache due to voice is equally and loudly distributed within the whole theater .

The Shimla-Kalka railway track is a Unesco World Heritage site , so it is a must do thing to travel in the toy train on this track at least once.
